The much-awaited Financial Markets Law Committee's paper on pension fund trustees' fiduciary duty in the context of sustainability, and climate change in particular, has just been issued. It's a really welcome contribution that removes some unhelpful uncertainty and should help more trustees feel empowered to incorporate climate change (and other sustainability matters) into their investment decision-making. It has been a pleasure to play a (very) small role in the development of this paper. Kudos to Sir Robin Knowles and the Financial Markets Law Committee team.

A remarkable couple of weeks, with votes against breaching 80% at a couple of companies, including at the flying kangaroo, Qantas. Also, bruising first strikes on pay at both Whitehaven Coal and Woolworths, plus a big vote against Patrick O'Sullivan - happily not our own Patrick O'Sullivan...
