Investors ‘flying blind’ over climate lawsuit risks

Investors and regulators are potentially “flying blind” by overlooking trillions of dollars in damages from climate lawsuits when evaluating the financial risks of major energy companies, according to new research.
This comes as the Federal Court is on Monday expected to hand down its decision regarding a Tiwi Islander’s legal challenge against gas producer Santos over the construction of a pipeline in the Timor Sea.
